| After a week of bad press for Lithuania regarding to unacceptable statement of one of the most acknowledged Lithuanian artist, Electronic Beats set out to find representatives from its criminally underrepresented Lithuanian electronic music scene. We are very happy to be mentioned in the article and we want to make it clear, that we do not share the same homophobic opinion. We do stand for equal human rights and fully support label founder’s Mantas T. response to this topic: “One of my best friends is gay. My best and funniest collegue is gay. My life without them would be more gray. Anger, hate and fear is “the dark side of the force”. Music is the universal language, which is breaking barriers in any context. | We are happy to welcome our new artists Black Water with their debut EP “Let’s Pretend”. Black Water (aka Ele 7) are electronic music duo – Mantas Ažondenis and Vaidotas Mikulka, whose intense – imaginative and exciting tracks (influenced by the Cologne electronic sound smithy), which immediately transports you to a thrilling dance floor that echoes with the sounds of romantic electronica, minimal, techno and house in a way that can only be conceived in the shadow dripping heads of Black Water. | We are launching a new sub-label Partyzanai Plius for unlimited, experimental and contemporary sound. Based in-between Vilnius and Cologne, label will act more globally with the first artist JAL from Kobe – a “small” town between Osaka and Kyoto, Japan.
