KARKASAS / TRIBE SINGLE / OUT ON GARS RECORDS
.

Starting as an anonymous project of the Lithuanian electronic music scene misfit Deividas Jaroška in 2016, Karkasas is a fresh voice in the Lithuanian industrial and techno sound circle. After a long hiatus and post-ironic take on the current club/rave sound movement, the project takes shape and concrete statement that will be released on his home turf – Gars Records.

“Tribe” marks Karkasas’s first steps into a mature sound and distinct profile, evolving from the spark of an idea creating music together with a tribe of people enjoying a never-ending night. For one of the more avant-techno, club-minded moments on his forthcoming EP “Armes de paix”, Trikk brought in distortion manipulation, bit crushing sound destruction over an energizing wave of Industrial Tribaltek, offering a thrilling taste of what’s to come.

The single is released on the brand new co-curated label Gars Records. Big thanks to Mantas Lukosevicius to make it look good and Pranza from audiomastering.lt to sound it good.

AKLI / REMIXES EP / OUT ON PZ POP
.
Akli is a Lithuanian post-punk/industrial music project that was created while the world was locked down by the pandemic. Isolation and solitude shaped the themes of musical ideas that were composed and recorded by the artist Kristijonas Valančius. The band’s music is aggressive and brimming with philosophic contemplations of self-worth, lust and disorder. Sonic collages of screaming guitar leads, aggressive vocals, driving bass, distorted drums and dark synthesizer passages create a unique immersive experience. The music strays from blatant cynicism and anger to illuminating moments of honesty. Akli released two critically acclaimed albums – „Taika” (peace) and “Refleksija” (reflection). With the purpose to build a bridge between stage and club scenes, the selected tracks from the album “Taika” got a bunch of versatile remixes made by the artists from various Partyzanai sub-labels: Teatre, 5ZYL, Auren, Shaknis, Kolegos, Shkema and Palmes Ziedas.  The remixes EP appears on digital on Partyzanai Pop Records and launches on the 23rd of December, 2021 at Radio Vilnius. Big thanks to Mantas Lukosevicius for the cover design and Pranza (audiomastering.lt) for making it sound good. You can preview the EP on Soundcloud and purchase it over Partyzanai Pop Records Bandcamp. KLASTOTE / COBALT EP / OUT ON GARS RECORDS
.
Klastote got into music production at his early teens. Music was a whole new perspective towards artistic expression, the synthesis between solitude and interactivity of the production process was something new to the author, who primarily concentrated on writing, dancing and acting. In his debut EP the author attempts to express the energy collected within the socialist-modernist apartment block buildings in his childhood neighbourhood. Along with the functional buildings, other mechanical, industrial constructions are turned into a sonar experience of chaotic order.

Rather than maintaining a constant flow of human emotions, Cobalt EP is constructed with the goal to exhibit the subhuman spirit of man-made structures. The author chose to name all four of the tracks by metals, due to his interest in this medium. Instead of creating a metal-like sound, Cobalt EP is concentrating on the functional qualities of this material as well as its place in our society. Radium was inspired by train-tracks, a path made for the seemingly unstoppable force of the train riding on them, something stable and peaceful for most of the time, yet capable of withstanding incredible amounts of power that it channels through. In contrast to three other tracks in the EP, Neptunium is inspired by the natural scenery of the seashore, however, the track found its place in the EP due to the observation of the similarity between man-made constructions and the sea. Similarity that is, again, not based on the primal qualities of the sea, or water, but rather on the magnitude and energy that it takes and radiates with each wave. With the use of Pink noise, the author attempted to resemble the ambience of the seashore, other elements of the track serve to express the interaction between one’s thoughts and an inanimate object. Klastote speaks with the sea the same way he can do it with an old bucket or a warehouse, receiving answers by imagining the sonar potential of each object or space along with its place in the entirety of the human experience.

The EP is released on the brand new co-curated label Gars Records. Big thanks to Pranza (audiomastering.lt) to make it sound good, and Babauzhiu to make it look good.

VEIVERIS / DRUMSTIS EP / OUT SOON
.
Veiveris, musically being an odd one out, is an embodiment for outlandish sounds and textures. Ever-searching for peculiarities in club context has accumulated into the status quo of his creative journey which is the debut “Drumstis” EP. With its quite contemporary attitude towards sound it makes a perfect fit for the Partyzanai Plius assortment appending with distinctive rhythms and atypical sounds. Based in Vilnius, Veiveris has built up a grasp of Lithuania’s club scene outskirts and particularities and paves the way for himself by contributing music for the outsiders in Lithuania and around the globe.

“Drumstis” EP is a set of inner emotions expressed through human-like timbre synth sounds. As if the sounds would be direct expressions of human emotion, Veivers uses them to confront his subconscious and rally against the outside world, spreading unease and wit. Throughout the EP’s gloomy atmosphere, a sense of unusualness and discomfort accompanied with thunderous ambiences makes unfamiliarity a usual standard. By design broken kick drums integrate the perfect amount of chaos with wrecked order. Rationalities wither, uncertainty persists.

Big thanks to Pranza (audiomastering.lt) to make it sound good, and Tadas Karpavicius to make it look good.

EMENT/ METATONE LP / OUT NOW
.
Metatone is a tonic-containing substance used to help restore health and vitality after illnesses or when you are feeling tired. A metaphor, which perfectly describes Ement’s debut album – a mixture of peak-time electro/techno tunes spiced up with the modern traces of EBM, which perfectly fits clubs and festivals. It is a personal dancefloor experience materialization of a non-stop party rebel, who started his music production journey in the periphery and got inspired by his brother’s hard dance production experiments. After an intensive exploration of the local and foreign club scene through years of intensive djing, remixing and never-ending afterhours, Ement finalized his recent definition of dance, which launches on the new co-curated PZ Records label.

An unexpected break and a long-lasting limbus of the dancefloor consumption turned out as a perfect slot to reveal one of many underestimated Lithuanian producers, who are too shy and too critical to themselves. It’s no fiction, as “How Much Is Too Much” was already noticed and compiled by Dave Clark in his “Whitenoise” radio show.

Big thanks to Tadas Karpavicius for for the graphic design and Pranza (audiomastering.lt) for making it sound good.

PPP015 / JAROSKA / UT REMIXES TABULATOR2
A sound clash of genre-agnostic colourful “Uncharted Territories” EP finally follows-up with additional remixes. Jacques Satre from Worst Records brings his signature sound flip that makes “How Do You Called It” into Saint-Etienne’s chillout scene anthem. Five Rituals modifies “Eating Knives” into an experimental bass sound with half-time beat clocking into chugging tempo and weird Lithuanian pop figure appearing between powerful room shaking basslines. Shkema makes the most psychedelic version of “Eating Knives” so far. Phun Thomas revision got a fat acid facelift and “Thrillingly Twisted Uncharted Territories” by DJ JM is club-ready amen break dj tool revision to original. Finally, Jaroska revisits his own “Eating Knives” one more time to bring into the 80’s territory with fuzzed guitars and lyrics that tells the hard truth about most common lifestyle in our club culture. The EP appears on digital on PPP Records and launches on the 27th of November at the streaming event PPP015: Uncharted Territories Remixes Release Launch Stream in LOFTAS in Vilnius, which will be realized by Play4n4 community.
