VEIVERIS / DRUMSTIS EP / OUT SOON

Veiveris, musically being an odd one out, is an embodiment for outlandish sounds and textures. Ever-searching for peculiarities in club context has accumulated into the status quo of his creative journey which is the debut “Drumstis” EP. With its quite contemporary attitude towards sound it makes a perfect fit for the Partyzanai Plius assortment appending with distinctive rhythms and atypical sounds. Based in Vilnius, Veiveris has built up a grasp of Lithuania’s club scene outskirts and particularities and paves the way for himself by contributing music for the outsiders in Lithuania and around the globe.

“Drumstis” EP is a set of inner emotions expressed through human-like timbre synth sounds. As if the sounds would be direct expressions of human emotion, Veivers uses them to confront his subconscious and rally against the outside world, spreading unease and wit. Throughout the EP’s gloomy atmosphere, a sense of unusualness and discomfort accompanied with thunderous ambiences makes unfamiliarity a usual standard. By design broken kick drums integrate the perfect amount of chaos with wrecked order. Rationalities wither, uncertainty persists.

Zygimantas Dzikevicius aka 5ZYL comes from the urban district Pasilaiciai situated at the northern part of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. Started musical journey around 2007 and being influenced by old-school rave / breakbeat / hardcore sound – Zygimantas started producing dubstep & jungle tunes and djing at various illegal parties and open-airs including legendary broken rhythm sound festival Satta. In the late 2019`s a new mindset under alias 5ZYL was born and it didn’t take long to be noticed by Jensen Interceptor and by local talent HUNTers – PPP Records – where the debut “Smoke These” EP found its shape. The EP appears on digital and MC format on PPP Records includng Ement remix and launches on the 6th of July at the event Minimal Mondays: PPP label release launch in Vasaros Terasa in Vilnius. PATRIS / VJV LIVE EP / OUT NOW

Patris aka Patris Židelevičius is exploring the boundaries of cello by combining the classical instrument with field-recordings, analogue and digital sounds. Each performance is a prepared improvisation in which Patris seeks to explore and discover new textures, consonances and dissonances. Subtle melodies and sounds are combined into multi-layered soundscapes and feature properties of ambient, drone, musique concrète and other contemporary music genres. VJV Live EP includes the live improvisations recorded at Viljandi (Estonia), Jonava and Vilnius (Lithuania). The EP is accomplished with a bonus track Intermezzo – an instrumental piece, which (classically) is either a movement between two others in a larger work, or a character piece, which could stand on its own. The debut Patris EP in digital and limited MC format will appear on our sublabel Partyzanai Plius Records and will be presented on the 15th of June at event Go Gaga 2018. After a week of bad press for Lithuania regarding to unacceptable statement of one of the most acknowledged Lithuanian artist, Electronic Beats set out to find representatives from its criminally underrepresented Lithuanian electronic music scene. We are very happy to be mentioned in the article and we want to make it clear, that we do not share the same homophobic opinion. We do stand for equal human rights and fully support label founder’s Mantas T. response to this topic: “One of my best friends is gay. My best and funniest collegue is gay. My life without them would be more gray. Anger, hate and fear is “the dark side of the force”. Music is the universal language, which is breaking barriers in any context. It should be the answer”.
